Dual UL-certified. Built for riders who want to stay out longer — and come home feeling good.

Know Before You Buy: E-Bike Classification & Local Laws
This bike ships as a Class 2 e-bike (throttle + pedal assist, 20 MPH max). Through the display settings, you can configure it as Class 1 (pedal assist only, 20 MPH) or Class 3 (pedal assist, up to 28 MPH). Here's what that means for you:
Class 1 (PAS Only, 20 MPH): Legal on most bike paths, trails, and shared-use paths nationwide. No throttle — pedal assist only.
Class 2 (PAS + Throttle, 20 MPH): Legal on most roads and many bike paths. Throttle-equipped. This is how the bike ships.
Class 3 (PAS Only, 28 MPH): Legal on roads and bike lanes in most states. Typically not permitted on multi-use paths or trails. Age restrictions may apply (16+ in some jurisdictions).
⚠️ Maximum Capable Performance: While the D5 2.0 ST ships as a Class 2 (20 MPH), law enforcement and trail systems may assess classification based on the bike's maximum capability — which is Class 3 (28 MPH). If your local regulations restrict Class 3 e-bikes, riding in Class 2 mode may not exempt you from those restrictions. The 750W motor is within federal limits — this bike meets the CPSC definition of a low-speed electric bicycle in all three class configurations.
Your Responsibility: E-bike laws vary by state, county, and municipality. Before riding in Class 3 mode on public roads or switching classes for trail access, verify your local e-bike regulations. We provide the flexibility — you choose the mode that fits where you ride.
5. FROM PROBLEM TO SOLUTION
Rough Roads Wear You Out
The Problem: Most rides start smooth but end on broken pavement, gravel shoulders, or unpaved trails. Without suspension, every bump transfers straight through the frame into your joints.
The Solution:
✓ Full suspension absorbs gravel, roots, and ruts — 100mm front fork + 130mm rear travel
✓ Memory foam saddle distributes weight across 260mm of surface area
✓ Adjustable stem (0-60°) lets you find the posture that keeps your shoulders and wrists relaxed
✓ 26" Maxxis Minion fat tires add stability and trail-biting grip on any surface
You Want Range Without the Range Anxiety
The Problem: Most e-bikes advertise big range numbers but deliver half that in real-world riding. You start checking the battery at mile 15 and turn around at mile 20.
The Solution:
✓ 70-mile PAS range on a single charge (Samsung/LG 21700 cells)
✓ 40-mile throttle-only range when you want to sit back and let the motor do the work
✓ Auto Mode adjusts assist in real-time — more support on hills, less on flat roads — maximizing every watt
✓ 48V 3.0A fast charger gets you back to full faster
Mounting a Heavy E-Bike Shouldn't Be a Wrestling Match
The Problem: A 92-lb bike with a top tube means swinging your leg high, shifting your weight awkwardly, and hoping you don't tip before your foot finds the pedal. That gets old — especially with stiff knees, a bad hip, or when the bike is loaded with cargo.
The Solution:
✓ Step-through frame — walk up, step through, sit down, ride. No bar to clear, no balancing act
✓ 26" wheels with 4-inch Maxxis tires provide a wide, stable contact patch
✓ 400 lb payload capacity — the bike handles your weight + cargo without wobble
✓ Full front and rear fenders keep you clean on wet roads
One Bike Can't Do Everything
The Problem: Torque sensors are great for hills but aggressive for casual rides. Cadence sensors are smooth but sluggish on climbs. You shouldn't have to choose.
The Solution:
✓ Torque Mode — instant power that responds to pedal pressure. Hills, headwinds, heavy loads
✓ Cadence Mode — smooth, steady rhythm for relaxed neighborhood cruising
✓ Switch anytime with a long-press of M — no stopping required
✓ 5 PAS levels + Auto Mode let you fine-tune exactly how much support you want
The Trail Demands More Tire
The Problem: Small tires slip on gravel and wash out on mud. You want all-terrain capability, not just pavement performance.
The Solution:
✓ Maxxis Minion FBF/FBR tires — the same rubber mountain bikers trust
✓ Trapezoidal tread digs into dirt, mud, and rock while shedding debris fast
✓ EXO sidewall protection resists punctures and cuts
✓ Tubeless-ready for even fewer flat tire worries
✓ Rated up to 3,000 miles of tread life
6. REAL-WORLD SCENARIOS
The Retired Couple's Morning Loop
You and your partner ride the neighborhood greenway three times a week. The step-through frame makes mounting easy. The memory foam saddle keeps things comfortable past the first mile. Auto mode handles the one hill on the route without you touching any buttons. You get home feeling better than when you left.
The Win: Low-effort exercise with full comfort — riding stays enjoyable, not exhausting.
The State Park Trail Rider
Saturday morning. You load the D5 2.0 ST in the truck and drive to the trailhead. Gravel paths, tree roots, creek crossings — 130mm of rear suspension and Maxxis Minion tires handle all of it. You ride 25 miles and still have 60% battery. Stop for lunch at the overlook. Ride back at your own pace.
The Win: 70-mile range + full suspension + premium tires = explore the whole park, not just the parking lot loop.
The Neighborhood Errand Runner
Tuesday afternoon: ride to the grocery store (3 miles), load up the MIK rear rack with bags, ride home. Thursday: farmer's market, same routine. Sunday: long cruise through the neighborhood with the grandkids. One bike. Every day. No car keys needed.
