3. WHO'S THIS FOR

You ride to the stand before sunrise, haul gear on rough two-track, and need a bike that's quiet enough to not blow your hunt and tough enough to get you back with a loaded trailer. Here's what the D5 2.0 Camo puts in your hands:

What you can do:

  • Ride 70 miles on pedal assist — enough for a full day in the field without charging
  • Tow up to 1,000 lbs with the trailer hitch — gear, game, or both
  • Load 120 lbs on the rear rack alone — double what the standard D5 2.0 ST carries
  • Roll through mud, gravel, and forest floor on Maxxis Minion tires that shed debris and resist flats
  • Stop fast on steep descents with 4-piston hydraulic brakes and a 203mm front rotor
  • Switch between torque mode (hill power) and cadence mode (quiet cruising) mid-ride
  • Step through the low-step frame wearing waders, boots, or full hunting gear

Know Before You Buy: E-Bike Classification & Local Laws

This bike ships as a Class 2 e-bike (throttle + pedal assist, 20 MPH max). Through the display settings, you can configure it as Class 1 (pedal assist only, 20 MPH) or Class 3 (pedal assist, up to 28 MPH). Here's what that means for you:

Class 1 (PAS Only, 20 MPH): Legal on most bike paths, trails, and shared-use paths nationwide. No throttle — pedal assist only.

Class 2 (PAS + Throttle, 20 MPH): Legal on most roads and many bike paths. Throttle-equipped. This is how the bike ships.

Class 3 (PAS Only, 28 MPH): Legal on roads and bike lanes in most states. Typically not permitted on multi-use paths or trails. Age restrictions may apply (16+ in some jurisdictions).

⚠️ Maximum Capable Performance: While the D5 2.0 Camo ships as a Class 2 (20 MPH), law enforcement and trail systems may assess classification based on the bike's maximum capability — which is Class 3 (28 MPH). If your local regulations restrict Class 3 e-bikes, riding in Class 2 mode may not exempt you from those restrictions.

The 750W motor is within federal limits — this bike meets the CPSC definition of a low-speed electric bicycle in all three class configurations.

Your Responsibility: E-bike laws vary by state, county, and municipality. Before riding in Class 3 mode on public roads or switching classes for trail access, verify your local e-bike regulations. We provide the flexibility — you choose the mode that fits where you ride.

5. WHAT THIS BIKE ACTUALLY SOLVES

Getting to the Stand Without Blowing Your Hunt

The Problem: ATVs and UTVs are loud. Deer, elk, and turkey hear you coming a mile away. By the time you park and set up, game has scattered.

The Solution:
✓ Near-silent motor — riders report the only sound is the derailleur shifting
✓ Camo finish blends with natural cover — no bright colors to spook game
✓ Cadence mode delivers smooth, quiet power for low-noise approach
✓ 70-mile range gets you deep into the backcountry and back on a single charge

You Need to Haul Gear, Game, or Both

The Problem: Standard e-bikes carry groceries. You need to haul tree stands, decoys, trail cameras, and whatever you harvest — over rough terrain, not paved bike paths.

The Solution:
✓ 1,000 lbs towing capacity — hook up a trailer for serious hauling
✓ 120 lb rear rack capacity — double the standard D5 2.0 ST
✓ 400 lb total payload — rider, gear, and cargo without strain
✓ MIK HD rear rack snaps on panniers, game carriers, or cargo boxes in seconds

Rough Terrain Beats You Up Before the Hunt Starts

The Problem: Fire roads, logging trails, and two-track are rough on a rigid bike. By the time you reach your spot, your shoulders and back are wrecked.

The Solution:
✓ Full suspension — 100mm front fork + 130mm rear travel absorbs rocks, roots, and ruts
✓ 26" Maxxis Minion fat tires add stability and grip on any surface
✓ Memory foam saddle distributes weight over long rides
✓ Adjustable stem (0-60°) lets you dial in posture for all-day comfort

Stopping on Steep Descents With a Loaded Bike

The Problem: A 92-lb bike plus 120 lbs of gear on a downhill fire road needs serious braking. Standard 2-piston brakes with 180mm rotors aren't enough.

The Solution:
✓ Upgraded 4-piston Tektro hydraulic calipers — more stopping force per squeeze
✓ 203mm front rotor — 13% larger than standard, better heat dissipation on long descents
✓ 180mm rear rotor with motor cutoff — power cuts the instant you brake
✓ Confident stops at any speed, loaded or unloaded

One Bike Can't Do Everything

The Problem: Torque sensors are great for hills but aggressive for quiet approach. Cadence sensors are smooth but sluggish on climbs. You shouldn't have to choose.

The Solution:
✓ Torque Mode — instant power that responds to pedal pressure. Hills, headwinds, heavy loads
✓ Cadence Mode — smooth, quiet rhythm for approaching your stand or cruising fire roads
✓ Switch anytime with a long-press of M — no stopping required
✓ 5 PAS levels + Auto Mode let you fine-tune exactly how much support you want

6. REAL-WORLD SCENARIOS

The Pre-Dawn Ride to the Tree Stand

4:45 AM. You load the D5 2.0 Camo with your crossbow bag on the rear rack, strap decoys to the trailer, and head down the two-track in cadence mode. The motor whispers. By 5:15 you're at your stand — 3 miles in — without breaking a sweat or alerting anything in the woods. The camo finish disappears against the tree line.

The Win: Silent approach + massive hauling capacity = better hunting, less setup anxiety.

The Backcountry Gear Shuttle

Saturday morning. You and a buddy are scouting new terrain. Load trail cameras, tree straps, and food plots on the trailer. 70 miles of range covers the entire loop through the property without worrying about battery. Full suspension smooths out logging roads that would rattle your teeth on a rigid bike.

The Win: 1,000-lb tow capacity + 70-mile range = scout deeper, carry more, come back for nothing.

The Off-Season Trail Machine

November through March, the D5 2.0 Camo becomes a trail bike. Maxxis Minion tires grip mud, snow, and gravel. Full suspension handles roots and rocks. The step-through frame means mounting with thick boots and winter layers isn't a wrestling match. Ride 25 miles through state park trails and still have 60% battery.

The Win: One bike, year-round. Hunting season and off-season. No second bike needed.
